| Susan Claussen |

Susan was an Elite All-State Setter for JHS and has since played one year for Winona State, she is a Senior Setter for Coach McDaniel and the Bulldogs as a Communications Major at Drake. Having served 2 years as an assistant for our top National team for JVBC, Suz will take over as the 18 National Head Coach this year. She is an OUTSTANDING coach with great knowledge of setting, offensive systems and serving. Susan will also be in charge of our "recruiting" seminars and helping those athletes wishing to pursue volleyball beyond high school. |

| Beth Cady |

Beth begins her first year coaching with JVBC this season after coaching HS volleyball in Hillsboro, IL. Having gained experience with coaching varsity for 3 years and 8th grade for 2 years will bring some valuable experience for her 15's team. Beth is currently a substitute teacher in the Metro area. |

| Lindsey Cosgriff |

Lindsey has played for JVBC since she was 12, which helped her build her skills and knowledge of the game to be apart of the State qualifying Johnston team in 2006. She is currently a junior at Grandview where she is a Defensive Specialist for the Vikings. This will be her second year coaching for the Johnston Volleyball Club. |

| Brittany Dalager |
 |
Brittany is originally from Minneota, Minnesota and played collegiate ball at Iowa State. She was an outstanding offensive leader and outside hitter from 2001-2004. She ended her career in the top-10 in career kills and digs, a feat accomplished by only four previous ISU players in school history. Dalager closed her illustrious career with 998 kills, two shy of making her only the fourth player in ISU history to have both 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs.
Brittany has coached club at SUV and Ames, and has been involved in the HP program and numerous camps since she was in high school. |

| Amy Daniels |

Growing up with a club volleyball tournament every weekend allowed Amy to learn what it takes to succeed on the court. In high school Amy helped lead her team, Cedar Falls, to it's first state berth in four years and was an all-metro and all-conference selection. Amy just moved to the Des Moines area this summer after graduating from Wartburg College where she played softball. Amy was the head coach for our 14 National team last year. |

| Monica Driscoll |

A standout HS star at Williamsburg, Monica played for the Iowa Rockets top teams for many years. After starting at DMACC, Monica will continue her career at Simpson this coming fall. Not only a great Libero/DS, Monica was all-conference OH in high school and brings a wealth of all-around knowledge to JVBC. In Monica's second year with JVBC, she guided the 16 National team to the USAVB National Championships in Reno as the head coach. |

| Lexie Hagerty |

Lexie is a Junior at Simpson College, majoring in Communications and minoring in Exercise Science. From South Tama, Iowa where she grew up with three older sisters, all of whom played volleyball and attended Simpson College. She has a passion for sports and fitness and loves to play any competitive sport. She is grounded in great fundamentals from Jane Murphy, her high school coach. Lexie teamed with Monica as the assistant on the 16 National team that traveled to the USAVB National Championships in Reno this past year. This will be Lexie's second year with JVBC. |

| Paul Hackelberg |

Having played volleyball in high school and for such clubs as SportsPerformance and LVBC in Chicago, Paul spent last year coaching for Illini Elite (Former JHS player Taylor Coughlin played for Illini Elite). Paul brings a great personal experience and willingness to learn as well to our club. "Hack" is beginning his second year with JVBC and recently achieved CAP I level coaching with USAVB. |

| Jodi Jurik |

Jodi was a three-time all-state player at Gilbert HS and is now a junior playing for Grand View University. During her 13 years of playing organized volleyball, she has played every position on the court and brings a wide knowledge of the game to her coaching. She has three years experience coaching USAV junior teams. She spent two years coaching at Iowa Heart then came to Johnston and this will be her second year coaching for the Johnston Volleyball Club. |

| Curt Larkin |

The 2005 Iowa Male Coach of the Year for USAVB, Curt has many years of experience. With experience s a Head HS coach as well as Coaching for the Iowa Rockets prior to moving to Johnston. Last year, the 17 National team qualified for Nationals with the same group of players as the previous year, NO ONE was replaced.....something unheard of at the National level. As National teams director, his focus will be on developing that same success with JVBC. A counselor at JHS, Curt incorporates "life skills" into every volleyball practice, match, and event. Curt is a CAP II level coach with USAVB. |

Amanda is currently a Sophomore coach for JHS and will bring a direct connection to the High School program. Due to IGHSAU rules, Amanda will be at our younger age groups. |

Shelly comes to us from Iowa Mennonite School of Kalona, IA. She started her volleyball career at Ellsworth Community College and contiued it at Grand View University, as a defensive specialist and utility player. She has coached for Venus Fire of Des Moines and currently plays volleyball in Ames, Des Moines and Ankeny. |

Rachel comes to us from Wartburg College where she was a setter. Prior to that, she played HS ball for Curt at HLV and for the Iowa Rockets under current Dubuque Sr. head coach Brett Myres. A very talented athlete in many sports, Rachel brings a great background of fundamental skills and enthusiasm to JVBC. |

| Laura Roeder-Grubb |

The 2006 Iowa Female Coach of the year and 2008 Outstanding Junior Leader for USAVB, she is a long time fixture in Central Iowa Volleyball. Laura is known for GREAT fundamental skill coaching in ALL skills. Laura served in helping to build the current Ankeny Volleyball Club as well as the former Sports University Club. Laura's 13 National team not only qualified for the USAVB National Championships, but finished 31st in the National division. That is the highest any JVBC team has ever finished! One of the most recognizable faces of volleyball in Central Iowa, you'll also see her as a top official for Iowa High School matches in the fall. |

Sarah Schuster |

Sarah is a 3rd grade teacher at a year-round elementary school in Indianola. A Drake grad in 2008, Sarah was a setter for the Drake Volleyball Team. She has led and assisted with volleyball skills camps for 6 summers, as well as coached club. This will be her 5th year coaching girls ranging from 3rd grade up to high school.

| Kelly Scott |

Kelly has accumulated a VAST array of knowledge of the game through his many experiences as a coach. Former Iowa City City High's head coach, Kelly has had the chance to coach with some top coaches in the country while being stationed throughout the US. He returns to coach for his 4th year at JVBC and brings a TON of positive approaches to the game in ALL areas. Kelly will serve as 12's League director for JVBC this year as well. Kelly is a CAP I level coach with USAVB. |

Aylssa is currently a Sophomore coach for JHS and will bring a direct connection to the High School program. A New Jersey native, she comes to us via her husband Brett attending vet school at ISU. Due to IGHSAU rules, Alyssa will be at our younger age groups. |

Alana is a 2007 Grad from state champion Wapsie Valley. Currently a Junior Libero for Drake University,Alana owns Drake's Single game and season Digs records. She ranked 28th in the NCAA during her sophomore year enroute to earning team Defensive Player honors. A Club player since 12, Alana brings GREAT defensive passing skills and knowledge to JVBC. |
